Online Christian Directory The Christian Net
Ministries and Mission
Our Mission

The purpose of The Christian Net is to unite and support those who have a burden for the suffering of others by informing and empowering them to effectively address issues affecting the body of Christ. The goal is to unite Christians at a local level so as to have a global impact. Hebrews 13:3 “Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.”

The Mandate

Whereas Christ called all believers to participate in the Great Commission and to defend those who are persecuted for the sake of the gospel, the mandate of The Christian Net is to:

  • Research events for accuracy and relevance to the Christian community
  • Reveal issues of a local and international nature that affect the body of Christ.
  • Educate why these issues are important and their broader implication.
  • Motivate to action.
  • Train Christians to have an effective apologetic in the defense of a Christian world view.
  • Equip Christians with the resources to be able to make a difference.
  • Network Christians for the purposes of prayer, support, encouragement, spiritual enrichment and selflessness.

By this we hope that Christian's shall be able to effectively fulfill 1 Peter 3:15 "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect."

Statement of Faith

While there is a wide diversity of theology within the Christian community we ask that members of this directory adhere to this basic statement of faith.

  1. There is one true God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of Deity and the characteristics of personality.
  2. Jesus Christ is God's eternal Son, the only mediator between God and human kind. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and fully shared and fulfilled our humanity in a life of perfect obedience to God.
  3. The death of Jesus Christ in our place revealed God's divine love and upheld God's divine justice, paying the penalty for our sins and removing our guilt.
  4. Jesus Christ rose from the grave the third day in the same body, though glorified, in which He lived and died. He ascended bodily into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father, where He continually makes intercession for His own.
  5. Through repentance and by faith in Jesus Christ we receive God's gift of eternal salvation, are reconciled to God, become God's children, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
  6. Jesus Christ will come again to the earth - personally, visibly and bodily - when he shall raise the dead, judge the world, separate the righteous from the wicked, and establish his eternal kingdom.
  7. The scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the uniquely inspired written word of God, possessing God's authority in all matters of faith and life. They are to be interpreted according to their context and purpose, in reverent obedience to the Lord who speaks through them.
  8. There is one holy, Christian church, united in the bonds of love and endowed with the gifts of the Spirit. The church is called to serve Christ by preaching the gospel and making disciples of all nations, administering the sacraments, striving for social justice, and by relieving human distress and need.

Note: While we ask that those listing on the website subscribe to this statement of faith we can not verify that any of the listings on the site or advertisers do so.
